What we catch

  • The Greater Amberjack, or Allied Kingfish, is one of the most sought after sport fish in Pensacola. Fishing charters love to target Amberjack because they fight hard, and considered a tasty and sustainable fish.

  • Cobia are popular sport fish in Pensacola. Fishing charters fill up fast in late March and April as they spawn in nearby waters. Caught mainly by sight fishing, Cobia fishing is a thrill and a challenge. Find out why Cobia are sought after by fishing charters.

  • Flounder fishing happens nearly year-round in Pensacola, other than the closure from October 15 - November 30. Their abundance, delicious taste, and ability to be fished throughout the calendar make them a popular Pensacola fishing charter target.

  • The Redfish, or Red Drum, are known as much for their fight as they are their taste. You can catch Redfish from the surf in Pensacola. Fishing with Reel Adventure Charters gives you the chance to go after the big bulls.

  • Snapper are the crown jewel of the Pensacola fishery and the Pensacola fishing charter fleet takes advantage. Snapper season is the most popular season in Pensacola. Fishing charter clients should book well in advance to secure your preferred date.

  • Tarpon are known for their fight and aerial shows. But you have to know how and where to stalk them if you want a chance to find out. Reel Adventure Charters has been known to catch a trophy Tarpon even though that is not the most common fish to target in our waters.

  • The triggerfish is a popular game fish found in our Gulf waters. Its distinctive look and powerful fighting ability make it a favorite target for local anglers and visitors. They are in season from March 1-May 31 and then from Aug. 1 - Dec. 31 providing plenty of opportunity to catch them.

  • Vermilion snapper is a species of fish commonly found in our Pensacola, FL waters. These vibrant red fish are highly sought after by local fishermen for their delicious taste and abundance in the area. They can get up to 24 inches in size and 6lbs.

  • Sheepshead is a common species of fish found in our waters year round. These fish are prized for their delicious meat and are often targeted by Reel Adventure Charters. We use a variety of baits and techniques to catch them.

Gulf Bay Charters and Reel Adventure Charters combined forces, and now fish as one crew: Reel Adventure Charters. There are four boats we captain, a 42’ Yellowfin, 35’ Contender and two 25’ Blackjacks. All our boats operate out of Southwind Marina in Perdido Key, FL and are able to serve travelers in Pensacola, FL and Orange Beach, AL.
